Hi My name is Russell and I am a hobbyist specialising in Laser Engraving on Slate, Stone and Wood and have been enjoying creating designs and bringing to life plain materials with new look.
I started life in engineering but following early retirement and COVID lockdown, I started to reinvest my time in more creative enterprise using my Laser Pecker 2 engraving machine.
Reinvigorating my creative side again has been great fun and I hope you like what I have been doing

Slate
Why do I use Natural Black Slate for my products? As a sustainable Material its easy to see its potential. durable, recyclable and boasts High quality Laser engraved finished products.
Slate produces a very nice contrast when engraved, which makes it a very popular substrate for etching.
Wood
Wood is one of the most popular materials and its usages are continuing to spread.
Laser technology is the favourite solution to enhance the elegance of wood material and transform it into a unique craft. We can engrave a huge wood variety: Beech, Walnut, Oak, Iroko, Sapele, Birch, Bamboo, Maple, Pine, Cherry... Laser engraver is respectful of the wood when processed, so varnish or paint can be applied afterwards.
Chopping Boards
Laser engraved wood chopping boards has really become popular in recent times, particularly for presents or point-of-sale applications.
All natural woods laser engrave, although some look better than others - lighter woods tend to show the best contrast although the effect on dark woods can be equally stunning.

Storage boxes, Wine boxes, trinket boxes or just a box – custom designs or a special message. Very popular for corporate and wedding gifts

Wood Wind Spirals
Wooden Engraved Wind Spirals with various designs, of Butterfly, Humming Birds and Bees. When they spin the design can be seen in full spinning round and round.
Spinners are made of 40 individual strips of wood connected around a central rod spindle and has on average 20 individual engravings on the spinner
